Dubai Basketball is an ambitious sports project that dawned in 2024. Its vision is to be recognized as a leader in all aspects of the sport, aiming to regularly participate in the most prestigious club competitions in Europe and to make a significant impact on sports culture. They aim to elevate the standards of sports organizations both in the region and across Europe, starting with the ABA League and extending through the European competitions and beyond.
Even though it is a newly founded project, Dubai Basketball can already be proud of the fact that they are participating in the ABA League, the leading basketball club competition in the region and one of the leading ones in Europe, since the very start of the 2024/25 season. Your new favourite team brings together players from across the world including Europe’s Balkan nations, Philippines and the United States.
CEDEVITA OLIMPIJA
Cedevita Olimpija, formed in 2019 through the merger of two clubs, Cedevita and Petrol Olimpija represents a powerhouse in European basketball. Based in Ljubljana, the club carries forward a rich legacy dating back to 1946, combining decades of success, including multiple national championships, EuroCup achievements, and a historic EuroLeague Final Four appearance.
With a commitment to fostering young talent and competing at the highest levels, Cedevita Olimpija is a symbol of basketball excellence, blending tradition with innovation.
The club’s accolades include 21 Slovenian national titles, 20 cup championships, and a European Cup title, cementing its reputation as one of the most successful teams in the region.
